Panel fencing

Additional Information

Wooden panel fencing is a highly popular and low cost solution for garden fencing where the need for strength isn’t as great. Fence panels are available in various styles and finishes, including closeboard panels, lap panels, trellis panes and lattice panels. Alternative fence types such as closeboard fencing can be used to provide a more robust and longer lasting solution if required. Lap panels are made to suit different budgets, this means that they also come with different attributes. The most common is the medium weight panel, usually labelled ‘fully framed’, meaning they have timber batten around the outside edge. Some lighter weight panels do not have a batten covering the bottom (if using concrete posts you will need fully framed panels). Panels are available in a number of common heights; 3ft (915mm), 4ft (1220mm), 5ft (1525mm) and 6ft (1830mm).

WOODEN PANEL FENCING FOR GARDENS A varied choice of fence panels are available to suit every garden, from traditional to the contemporary. You have a choice of dipped and pressure treated panels in a variety of colours to help complement your garden. The basic fence panel is a lap panel, but closeboard panels, trellis panels and lattice panels are all very good alternatives.

KEY BENEFITS Probably the most cost effective way to border your garden and property. Border your property with good quality & affordable fencing Installed with timber or concrete posts and gravel boards

TIMBER OR CONCRETE POSTS & GRAVEL BOARDS Panel fencing can be installed using either timber or concrete fence posts and gravel boards. Whilst concrete posts may have a slightly more ‘harsh’ (visual) impact on the surroundings, the use of these (along with concrete gravel boards) can actually help prolong the life of the fence as they stop water and moisture from the ground coming in to contact with the panels themselves.

REPLACING DAMAGED PANELS Replacing a damaged fence panel is usually a quick, inexpensive job. A damaged panel is simply removed and a new panel is inserted in its place. There may be times when removing a fence post is necessary, but we will always advise you beforehand.
